RAINBOW REVOLUTION

INDIA HAS WITNESSED 2 PEACEFUL REVOLUTIONS – GREEN REVOLUTION AND WHITE REVOLUTION. IT IS TIME FOR RAINBOW REVOLUTION. LET US MAKE ANEMIA HISTORY.

Post-independence India used to import food grains and milk was rationed. Green Revolution led by M. S. Swaminathan turned India from a grain importing country to food self-reliant country through hybrid seeds. Dr. Varghese Kurien led the White Revolution, through cooperative movement making milk available in plenty is one of greatest success stories.

But the hidden hunger, the nutrition deficiency, is largely unaddressed. The need is for all Vitamins, represented by different colors. We call it the Rainbow Revolution.

Income is just one parameter for poverty. if we were to estimate the number of people living without such access, it would likely be much higher than the 4 billion people identified by the income threshold.
